Konductra
Reader Rating:

Developed by oeFun, Konductra challenges players to create and destroy lines with colored tiles to either earn points or attack an opponent. This unique, but elegant puzzle title offers four game modes, including Task, Score, VS. CPU, and VS. Human. In both versus modes, the objective is to beat the opponent by filling up the rival's board as quickly as possible by destroying lines on the player's own board and sending them to the opponent's board. Gamers destroy lines by matching tiles and using the stylus to trace from like colored conductors running along the four edges of the screen.

I hated Polarium, but when I first saw Konductra, I knew not only could this be a spiritual successor to the boring black-and-white puzzler, but that it would be fun.
Konductra is awkward in that how easy or hard the game is depends on you. When you're just starting out, the game is over fairly quickly and you get no immediate satisfaction. But once you learn the ropes of the title, matches can last crazy amounts of time while you rank up big scores.
The game itself is pretty fun and rather hectic when you play aginast other people. There's great implementation of the touch screen and Wi-Fi Connection. Plus, it's colourful! I can't and won't compare it ot the other puzzlers out there on the DS, but it stands out in its own right. A few other modes (puzzle-solving mode, single cart multiplayer) would have made the game that much better, but for what it is, Konductra is pretty good.
