Podcast 43: PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale

This week, the gang gushes over Trials Evolution, laments over Nintendo's financial woes, strokes their beards over Nintendo releasing major titles as digital downloads, and drags Sony over the coals for shamelessly ripping off Super Smash Bros.

REVIEW - The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

Posted November 29th 2011 by Adam Grayson.

Can you believe it's been five years since the Wii first came out?  Five years since Nintendo was unanimously agreed to be in last place in the console race?  Five years since motion controls were considered a failure waiting to happen?  Five years since all of those Wii sexual innuendos?  Can you believe it's been five years since the last console Zelda game?  What in the wide world of video gaming has Nintendo been doing these past five years?  Well, in addition to enjoying the unexpectedly explosive success of their "subpar" home console, they've been working harder than they ever have to create not only the best Wii game ever, but perhaps, the best Zelda game ever.  With the Wii U, Nintendo's next home console, hitting shelves sometime next year, Nintendo wanted The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword to be their swan song to the Wii.  Ladies and gentlemen, they succeeded.  If you read nothing else in this review, read this: get this game.

Skyward Sword Box Art and Bundle Go Gold

Posted August 29th 2011 by Adam Grayson.

Earlier this year at E3, Nintendo revealed to us Zelda fans that, as a part of the series' 25th Year Anniversary celebration, there would be two retail copies of Skyward Sword.  One copy would just be the boring old game by itself while the other would be a rocking golden bundle of goodness complete with a golden Wii Remote Plus and a 25th Anniverstary soundtrack.

Skyward Sword: Where is Ganon?

Posted July 25th 2011 by Anthony DiPalma.

Every Legend of Zelda fan knows the basic setup behind the legendary series. Link, the young hero clad in green tunic sets out on a quest to find the Master Sword, save Princess Zelda, and slay the evil Ganon. This time around, Producer Eiji Aonuma tells us that Skyward Sword will be a different tale... One without the star villain fans have come to love.

Is the Wii HD Really Coming?

Posted April 14th 2011 by Adam Grayson.

You all have probably seen reports of this popping up here and there, but there are rumors currently floating around that Nintendo is working on a Wii HD to be released in late 2012.  As these rumors appear in more and more places, it seems to be like more and more of a possibility...

Wii REVIEW – Metroid: Other M

Posted October 15th 2010 by Adam Grayson.

Metroid: Other M

Another year, another Metroid... The question that seems to be on everyone's mind is whether they should buy it or skip it. With the return to "traditional sidescrolling" after so many years of the Prime adventure/FPS games, people are very skeptical and cautious about Metroid: Other M. Hopefully after reading this review, your minds will be set on, at the very least, renting this game.

Wii REVIEW – Super Mario Galaxy 2

Posted June 4th 2010 by Adam Grayson.

Super Mario Galaxy 2

Ladies and gentlemen, I played Super Mario Galaxy 2 in one 16-hour sitting; start to finish; 100% complete. I woke up early Sunday morning, drove over to my local Gamestop, bought the game, and disappeared into my gaming lair for the rest of the day (and much of the next morning). Only taking bathroom and eating breaks, I destroyed the game in my hardcore playtime. Let this be testament to both the game itself and how much I enjoyed it. With that said I'd like to start out by saying – scratch that – YELLING that Super Mario Galaxy 2 is an incredibly fantastic game, and that anyone owning a Wii or anyone even remotely interested in the Super Mario series should buy this game. I played the game from start to finish (100% complete) in one 16-hour sitting, so you know how much I enjoyed it. There is no question that this is, hands down, a must have game; however, it is not perfect, and there are things that could have (and should have) been done to it to improve the experience.
