You people don't realize just how bad the Patriots were at one poimt. They were the laughing stock of the NFL. In fact, just about 10 years ago, it was difficult just to watch a Patriots game becuase the Team has a rule that if the Stadium is not a certain percentage filled, they won't show the game becuase a half filled stadium would look bad. Since the Pats were terrible, no one went to the games and it was near impossible to see them. Kraft and Bellecheck really have turned things around. You may hate them, I'm proud of them.

Not airing the game unless it is a sell out in that teams area is an NFL rule.

I hope the terrorists win this SuperBowl. That's really the best outcome in my eyes. Disgust

It's tough to win a game when you have four turnovers to the other teams' zero. Twenty-four points off of Steelers' turnovers. I don't care who you're playing, that's an incredible barrier to tackle. The Steelers, as has become their custom of late, is to choke in big games. The only consolation I can offer is that Roethlisberger is a rookie. The beginning of the season, he never played like it, but he realized today and last week just how fast and hard-hitting playoff football really is. The Steelers still have found their QB to build a franchise around. Steelers defense is number one and for a reason -- they were not very easy to move against, for sure. They gave up two or three big yard plays, but everything else was won hard.

Last time Steelers played the Patriots (2001), they also had four turnovers and lost by seven. Like I say, you can't turn the ball over in the playoffs, but that's exactly what the Steelers did. I hate the Patriots and always felt they were overrated, but you can't argue with results -- two Superbowls in the last three years? I think they'll make that three in four. I hope not, though.

Disappointing. I hope that Jerome Bettis returns for one more year. The Steelers defense will carry them as the mind of Big Ben matures and he settles down in big games. Ah well.

Same here, I didn't care that much about the Falcons and Eagles, but I definately didn't want to see the Patriots in the SuperBowl, again.

According to SI, Tom Brady was sick with a 103 degree temperature due to a flu that was bad enough that they had to connect him to an IV machine the night before the game. What a trooper!! Best quarterback in the NFL indeed!

Supposedly, Ben Roethlisberger broke some toes during the second quarter, but continued to play. That was reported by... someone. Bill Cowher said that he didn't break his toes, but he hurt them.

*shrugs*

And, while I don't want them to, the Patriots will win this Super Bowl as well. Ah well.

I was a nurse. There's no way you make that kind of recovery that fast that he wasn't still sick the day of the game. Flu takes two to three weeks to fully recover from.

I'm not crazy about the Patriots, but I had them picked from day one. As it was said. You can't argue with results, and Brady gets results. He's got a fine team around him for support too. My son likes the Eagles, and had them picked about the same time. I hope Owens has recovered enough to be of some use to them. I like the Eagles and I'd like to see them win, but the Patriots have something special going. It's not going to be an easy battle.

Edit:

This is acceptable, as long as the team you beat isn't Boston (obvious reasons) or Yankees (I don't want them getting further in the Playoffs than Boston).

The sox win 1 year and you never hear the end of it Smile (I'm not ayankee fan btw...)

And I'll let the pats win this year, because once the OC and DC leave, it's the end of the dynasty! THen the fans can go back to never supporting the team (since the Pats have an amazing amount of bandwagon jumpers, and don't even try and argue that one!)

I totally expect you to support boston, but I'm on a few Jets messageboards, and even on there boston fans won't stfu about that win. I've got nothing against them, but it gets tiring hearing them tlak about it over and over.

And the pats have so many bandwagon jumpers. Even around where I live, suddenly everyone is a pats fan. And a few years back, I doubt anyone in boston actully gave a **** about the patsies (it's a baseball town, am I right?). Suddenly though, the pats sell out every game! Real fans are seen in places like Bufallo; a small market that supports there team in the wrost weather, even when they are one of the most dissapointing teams every year.

There are a ton of people in Wisconsin who love the Packers, even when they sucked in the 70's and 80's they were selling out home games, yet you'll have a hard time finding fans of the Bucks or Brewers.

Oh my God, no. Ratings for Patriots games dwarf those of RedSox games. Hell, pre-season Patriots games get higher ratings than regular RedSox games (except for maybe a RedSox-Yankees game). Pats are HUGE in Boston as are the RedSox.

"Pretty good?" They only won half their games! The NFC blew chunks this year. It's ridiculous that .500 teams were making it into the playoffs. Of course, they didn't actually do anything.

Yes, your Saints sucked. It's ridiculous to say anything other than that.

Seriously. It was not surprising at all to watch the Wildcard games go crazy and then the Divisionals get swept by the top seeds.

There was a great disparity in talent among NFL teams this year. Most teams blow chunks. They can, of course, look good against each other, but when they face the good teams, they get anally penetrated.

So should Reed. What the hell was he thinking by running the ball with a minute left in the first half, not calling a time out and THEN finally throwing it down field. They could have come away with a 3 point lead at half.

And going for an onside kick with under 2 minutes left.

Seriously. TO played his heart out and played incredibly well. The blame rests solely on McNabb, and maybe the defense for letting Dillion tear them up in the seconld half.

Even Pinkston made some clutch catches for crying outloud.

It seems old McNabb is back. The one who lost 3 consecutive NFC Championships.

I'm glad they didn't just give the MVP award to Brady so he could tie Montana's record. Branch deserved it, although a strong argument could be made for Harrison as well.

The real game changer was that terrible, TERRIBLE interception he threw to Teddy Buschi. Or maybe it was throwing into double coverage and getting picked after you just dodged a bullet the play before on a questionable penalty.

Yeah, he played bad.

And mithcell is such a joke. I remember him getting 1 catch (like 6 yards?) and that's all. Atleast when TO runs his mouth he backs it up.
