Nine Tomorrows ![]() Never has science fiction been better. A week ago me and a friend took a road trip out to his other toy booth in E-Town (Elizabethtown, Kentucky) just to get some stuff situated. Well, we decided to walk around to see if the place had anything worth purchasing. And there is this huge book section and I found the motherload of Asimov novels. I didn't have much money on me at the time but went ahead and picked up Nine Tomorrows and The Caves of Steel. This isn't the same book cover, but it will do. I've only had time to read one short story in Nine Tomorrows and it was just amazing. The book is a collection of nine short stories written by Isaac Asimov. Two of them being his personal favorites. So, if you want to get a taste of Isaac Asimov than I have a link to this short story "Profession." Which is the only short story I have read so far. And I was captivated until I saw the period that marked the end. http://www.abelard.org/asimov.htm This is a long read, in the book the story is roughly 50 or so pages. But it is worth it. I just want to see your reactions. If you can find any Asimov books at yard sales or flea markets pick them up. You won't be disappointed. OH and one more thing, read the whole short story if you start. Things all connect together by the end and when you see the whole picture you will see the genius in the story Asimov has created with "Profession." |

I have heard good things about Asimov, it's time to get something of his work. |
