American Idiot.........The Movie? Courtesy of Dark Horizons Green Day are considering bringing their just-released album "American Idiot" to the big screen according to MTV. Singer Billie Joe Armstrong said this week "We've definitely been talking about someone writing a script for it, and there's been a few different names that have been thrown at us, It sounds really exciting, but for right now it's just talk". A lot of comparisons are already being made to "Tommy", the 1975 movie based on The Who's rock opera of the same name. That film starred Roger Daltrey as the title character, a blind, deaf and dumb boy who becomes a world-champion pinball player and cult hero. Fellow musicians Elton John, Eric Clapton and Tina Turner co-starred. Of the comparison, Armstrong says "They used musicians, so I guess we'd have to use musicians too. Maybe we'll have, you know, Tim Armstrong come out as Whatsername [the central character of the final song] and we'll get the Madden brothers [Good Charlotte's Benji and Joel] to, I don't know, play some kind of schizophrenic character or something like that". Along with a fictional movie based on the album, which hit stores Tuesday, Green Day are also considering a documentary about the making of the album. ------------------------------------- Sounds interesting. |

No....NO Good Charolette! Please God no! *shudders in fear* I want to see that movie with all those punk people in it...something with the name freaky or freak in it. Forgot the name. It has people from Rancid, AFI, Blink 182, Good Charolette *wants to kill them* and it has to do something about Charles Manson. EDIT: Its called Live Freaky Die Freaky. ___________________

Wow that sounds cool. I would definitely see it. I always thought that their songs were perfect fodder for a script of some sort.

Might seem to be interesting, but they should get older punk/ alternative/ Grnge rockers from the early 90's instead of the nu-punk sissy whiny pants punk rockers now. I swear if Averil Laviegn is in it i'm going to puke. |
