Nah, I've got no idea what that is except that I know there is a game based off of some kind of comic.

Yes. Things got weird, but I think that's because I didn't read the previous books for awhile and forgot how weird the series is in general. But it indeed cause some lols. I liked it. Overall, awesome comic series.

I'm on Volume 2 right now. It's pretty good. Some of the drawings look similar, I get the girls confused sometimes until a name is introduced. The writing is also a bit scatterbrained and much of the dialogue is overly simple, but there's something about it that keeps me entertained.

6 volumes x $12 = $72

Kinda a lot considering they're not that long; I've been using those Borders coupons 33% and 40% off. I'll buy vol. 3 soon enough and will eventually see the movie.

I read them all in one sitting a couple of years ago because our PR guy's brother had them all and I was over for whatever reason. They're great. I'm not so sure about the movie, but I'll see it.

The movie looks like some hipster's dream. But everyone keeps gushing on about it, so who knows. Maybe it's just a movie that doesn't translate well to trailers.

Honestly, I wasn't expecting a lot from this series when a buddy of mine introduced it to me a few months back. I then proceeded to reading all 5 volumes practically in a row. And as much as I love video game references and crazy super-power fights, the dialogue and seeing the characters develop is what really keeps it going. Especially the dialogue. This series has some of the most believable/relatable conversations I've ever read.

Also living in Toronto and reading scenes that occur in places that I like to go to is fun.

Oh, and Wallace kind of makes me wish I were gay.

No, but I hear good things about it.

Keep in mind, I still have yet to read Watchmen. I'm a bit behind with that medium.

(I did see the movie though, heh.)

I definitely recommend it. Both of them, really. Just try not to let the hype get to you too much.

I'm looking forward to seeing the ending in the film. It's different but supposedly they tried to keep it pretty close to how the book ended off.

Just saw the movie, it's really good. It was mostly the fights and less of the story which was kind of a bummer though. But it was still awesome. It moves reeeally fast.

Also the ending was a litle different from the books, which was nice. I didn't particularly like the end of book 6 and this was easier to fiollow.

Borrowed the books from ZiggityZach, read the first 3 on Saturday and the last 3 on Sunday, fan-freaking-tastic books, loved every second of the series.

Was hoping for something different for the ending. It wasn't bad, though I think it was the weakest part, but that could be because I never wanted it to end.

Not surprised the movie moves really fast, theres a lot of content to cram into 2-ish hours.

(book 6 spoilers)

I dunno I didn't totally follow what was going on with the glowing and the inside Ramonas head stuff the first time I read it. The movie didn't spend much time on it, but was more explicit about it. I just reread Finest Hour though and it made more sense this time.

So I got bored late last night, and start looking at screens of the game coming out and saw this one

I liked the homage to Super Mario 2 character select screen so much (and I love editing Mega Man sprites), that I decided to make an 8-bit version of sorts.

Pretty please with how it turned out.

My only qualm with the trailer was the girl ex where she said she was "bi-furious". It ruined my mood -_-

lol, what kind of character does Micheal Cera play? I heard rumors that he doesn't a loser kid, who's extremely shy around women... Is this true? Because if it is I am really excited to see him take on another style of role! Oh wait....

He also kicks some serious ass as a quasi-superhero btw

Michael Cera did not invent the character type that he's been typecasted into, he just happens to fit the role really well.

I read the first 3 volumes today, I really like the art style and the dialogue can be pretty hilarious. I wasn't expecting to get through them so fast but after the first few pages I was hooked. Gonna read some more now, hopefully the movie won't be a letdown

Finished Volume 6, and everything was awesome about Scott Pilgrim except the price tags ($72+tax for the entire series of books which could be read in less than two days?) Cheap-ness aside, I'm hyped for the movie and the video-game -- this series was a "breathe of fresh air". A great change-up from all the law reading which I will resume next week.

I agree with the summation of volume 6 feeling a bit unfilfilling but i really do like that they all get older and the aspect of life always changing.. Overall the storyline kepy me interested throughout the volumes and the humor kept me very entertained. Great books.

Having now experienced all three, they're all amazing.

EDIT: Oh. I'd also go gay for Wallace anyday lol

EDIT EDIT: Okay finished the series now. Overall it was pretty awesome. I personally thought that the fourth volume was the best, but that's just me. Plus, I have no idea why there are so many gay people in the story Erm

Don't feel like shelling out money for the game, especially since I can't use Xbox live or PSN up North... Maybe someday...

The game is pretty great. Very reminiscent of Turtles in Time (some levels are a direct rip off in fact) which is about the best compliment I can ever give to an arcade style beat-em-up. Plus the music rules.

Just saw the movie again tonight (Tuesday is 1/2 price tickets night), and wow it's still as good as the first time I saw it.

I don't think I've ever seen a movie twice (well once, but only because my old gf wanted to see the movie) in theaters before, so that really says something about this movie.

It's just too difficult to squeeze in everything. I loved the film but I definitely wish it had time to go into more of the characters' backstories. Especially Kim. Regardless, I think the movie is as good as a Scott Pilgrim movie ever can be.

Yeah it was pretty much exactly what I was expecting. The only way it could've been done better would be to break it into separate movies, which no studio would ever fund.
