Square Enix has announced its lineup of games it will be showing off at E3 2007, a mix of made-over classics and fresh entries in established franchises. The publisher also took the opportunity to announce Front Mission, the original turn-based mech strategy game, is currently in development for North American audiences and will be playable at the show.

Square Enix will have six playable titles in Barker Hangar:

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker: A Dragon Quest spin-off that plays similarly to Pokemon, Joker has already sold over one million units in Japan. This DS-exclusive is scheduled to ship in November.

Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors Developed especially for the Wii and its magical motion-sensing tech, The Masked Queen Blah Blah Blah sends players literally slashing and parrying through a fantasy land filled with recognizeable Dragon Quest monsters.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates: A sequel to the 2004 game that promoted interactivity between the GameCube and Game Boy Advance, this one is another DS exclusive.

Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions: A PSP update of the beloved PlayStation turn-based strategy game.

Final Fantasy II: Another PSP remake with completely redrawn graphics, 16:9 widescreen presentation, and an all-new dungeon.

Final Fantasy XI: Wings of the Goddess: An expansion for the Final Fantasy MMO for PS2, PC, and Xbox 360.

Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings: A DS extension of last year's PS2 RPG.

Front Mission: The original turn-based strategy game featuring mechs is being remade for the DS.

Heroes of Mana: This DS-exclusive takes the long-running series into the realm of strategy gaming.

Dragon Warrior Monsters was so progressive and awesome, and really is far and away better than any other monster raising game out there. I can't wait for Joker.

Was I the only one who thought - from the title alone - that a group of chick game designers finally made a wedding planner videogame?

Square just knows the money is in handheld games right now. Until they every back Nintendo with real Final Fantasy games like XIII and XIII Versus they're allegiances lie squarely with Sony.

For real. Where is FFTA2? That's all I wanted. That and some more info on Dragon Quest IX and neither of them are going to be there. How lame.

Oh and Imp, you're retarded. There's only one reason why a company expands their games to new systems and that's because they want to make more profit and aren't satisfied with their current situation. Square-Enix has been testing the waters with Nintendo since the GameCube and they have only been giving more and more support since then because obviously it's working for them. If it keeps up and these new DS and Wii titles sell well, I wouldn't put it past them within the next few years to put one of the main franchise Final Fantasy games on the Wii.

Jesus christ, can we just get a straight up no bullshit mana game? Disgust

Looks like I'm getting the DS version of FF:CC since the Wii one looks fucked.
