For the love of God and country! Anyone but Hillary Clinton!
Well, not anyone... but you get the point.

http://www.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/06/11/nh.poll.schneider/index.html

Basically what the article says is the Hill's ahead by 36% compared to Obama's 23. Hill can't win. She's annoying and doesn't have the mental clarity of Barack. Yeah, she'd be an alright president...but she's not as good as Obama. Who on just about every issue, knows EXACTLY what needs to be done. Oh and the Republicans? Lol...they just make themselves look more ridiculuos every time they speak. I mean, I used to be impressed by ol' Rudy...since he didn't seem to be a religous crusader...but he's so hard on 9/11 that he might as well be one cause it leads to the same highly illogical attitude. Hmmm, oh yeah, there's that Ron Paul guy...but then again he thinks we shouldn't have fought the civil war or something...

I would rather jam a soldering iron up my pee hole than see Hillary Clinton elected as President.

And as you might guess, that's a pretty painful alternative.

Hillary just seems like she can't win to me. If those dems in Iowa and New Hampshire elect her, she's gonna be like a punching bag for republicans. And moderate Republicans will never vote for her, seeing as another Clinton in the White House is their worst nightmmare. Please Iowa...go for the black guy!

as a libertarian i'd like to say that i'd rather have a democrat congress since a lot republicans, in general, want to legislate morality. Both are for big government, but just in different ways.

But there's really a minute difference between the parties in the end.

Upon further examination I've decided that I'd vote for Paul if it were a choice between Clinton and Ron Paul. The democratic congress will keep his massive tax reductions at bay, and we REALLY need a huge change in foreign policy.

That depends entirely on the economy and situation in question. Tax cuts are not a be all end all solution to all economic problems, the same way that tax increases aren't. Overtaxing and undertaxing have both led to economic collapse in the past.

Maybe, maybe not. Too much taxation on the wealthy leads to that money suddenly leaving the country, since the rich are capable of such mobility. Better something than nothing.

Then again, high taxes are why Taxman was written. Thinking

who do you think it is that pays taxes? its rich people. lowering their taxes results in higher revenue and stronger economies. why? because they have the money that creates jobs.

raise their taxes and they are just gonna sit on the money they have. why bother earning more money when the vast majority of it gets taken away anyways? and yes, when rich people earn money, everyone below them earns money also.

You can't really be a fiscal liberal unless you don't understand or refuse to believe the reality of economics. Or are really crazy and want to eradicate the natural forces which cause it to be true (you know free will and all that).

Hillary is getting the democrat nomination. It's obvious. She's got the evil connections and support to make it happen, and what little resolve there actually is in democrat ideaology isn't nearly enough to overcome clout and corruption. She's your candidate comerades, now dwell on the consequences for our country.

I hope Rudy gets the Republican nomination at the moment so we have the best shot at keeping her the hell out of power.

Virgil Goode, a Virginia Republican congressman, said that if voters failed to support his proposals for stricter immigration rules "there will likely be many more Muslims elected to office and demanding the use of the Koran" in official ceremonies, eroding the country's "traditional" values and beliefs.

Ellison was sworn in using the Koran in a private ceremony. Virgil hates Muslims. The article was written weirdly though, it's easily confusing.

Republican nominations have turned into Reagan-a-thons - the differentiation is not significant (between what they aim to emulate) - and we're at a damn important political crossroads. The communists on the supreme court are going to croak soon. Unless one of the houses of Congress turns back we need a Republican in the white house to prevent the democrats from having a chance at any of the things they want, because every big proposal they have is flat out terrible for our future. Nationalized health care? Military cuts? Tax increases? And God only knows how much worse they'd be than Bush when it comes to the border.

I don't have a hero in the primaries, I'll be pragmatic, thanks.

You know what's disastrous? Cutting taxes and then increasing spending so that unnecessary things like the war on terrorism, which has produced very little in the way of results yet has been costly, can be conducted. It's a sure-fire way to drive the United States deeper into debt.

Oh, don't be such a drama queen. The Republicans have had eight years and things have remained mostly steady (except for the recession after 9/11), just like things were pretty steady the eight years before with the democrats (which actually represented a pretty nice economic incline).

Politicians don't do what's best for the country, they do what they feel is best for themselves politically. No one is going to do anything rash, except possibly for a single party government like you seem to want.

You talk about issues like nationalized health care, military cuts and tax increases as though they'll damn the country. Truth is, plenty of countries with very stable economies survive just fine with national health care, high taxes and low military spending. Some of the nations with the highest qualities of life in the world in fact. Your economic elitism is unfounded.

The most important two things to the economy right now are NAFTA and GATT. Those two agreements unchecked our devastating our economy.
