Islamic spies to snoop on loversTue Feb 20, 8:16 AM ET KUALA LUMPUR (Reuters) - A Malaysian state plans to recruit "spies" from the public to snoop on unmarried lovers and report them to Islamic religious authorities, a newspaper said Tuesday. ADVERTISEMENT The Terengganu state government plans to enlist the part-time spies to look out for un-Islamic behavior, such as unmarried couples kissing or holding hands, the Star daily said. "Some of these 'spies' could be waitresses or even janitors at hotels acting as auxiliary undercover agents for our religious department," the head of the state government's Islamic and welfare committee, Rosol Wahid, was quoted as saying. "Accurate details are required for the enforcement officers to act, otherwise they could be pouncing on married couples." Last October, religious police in another part of this mainly Muslim country caused an outcry when they mistakenly raided the rented holiday apartment of a Christian American couple on suspicion that they were unmarried Muslims in "close proximity." ___________________ The Dragons are Gone! |

This was never enforced under the completely Muslim ruled states after the time of the prophet, it's culture more than religion. In communities I've seen any obviously nonreligious people just wouldn't be invited to the dinners at the mosque. In Islam everyone has a right to privacy and should know that they can't hide from God, this is wrong. ___________________  The Arabs are the best because they crossed the dessert. This comes as no surprise to me. I read somewhere that a muslim has the right to beat his wife into submission if she so much as looks at him the wrong way. God forbid a man and woman be caught being lovers in that society. The woman is as good as dead. |

Dont nitpick about lara - if theres some old thing in a cavern filled with SUPERNATURAL BEINGS you can be sure shell risk life and limb to get the old thing, be it bones or bricks, ignoring the idea of capturing a zombie or whatever it is just to get the artifact.
