IGN WiiK In Review Podcast ("Games Previously On Another System Now On Wii") Hmm...? Was just listening to IGN's latest Wii Podcast and Matt says something really interesting: " I have a feeling your gonna see hmm how do I say...lets be pretty vague about this...games that were previously on another system now on Wii instead." Now thats really made me think what system was he talking about is he on about? end of generation PS2 games or games from Xbox360 and PS3? If so won't they have to be pretty heavily toned down? Is this a result of the much maligned PS3 price point. What title would you imagine or would you like to come to Wii (sounds like exclusivily) (both realistically and in a fantasy world)?Me, I really can't imagine what title would make the jump from the other next gens to Wii so I think maybe it could be either Scarface or The Sopranos that were cancelled for Xbox360. |

Meh, misleading thread title. "Not" should be "Now". More games on the Wii should be good, I think, but I haven't kept up on what games the other consoles have lost, so I can't make any predictions as to which games Matt could be referring to in the podcast. ___________________  MGM Bill and End RIC

It could be Super Paper Mario. It'd be good to have on Wii's launch, although being a GameCube game it'd be able to be played on Wii anyway. But symbolically... hmm. Who knows. |

Sounds good. I'm not expecting an announcement of MGS4 or Resident Evil 5 being ported to the Wii or anything, but more game sis always a good thing, especially if it's detracting from the opposition. My secret fanboy "I-hope-it's-true-but-I-know-it's-not" game is Silent Hill 5, which probably doesn't count since it hasn't been announced yet. That would be so cool  ___________________

Been thinking and it would be cool if we got the next KIngdom Hearts, I really don't the franchise will benefit too much from PS3's 4D power lol but on a serious note it would enable Square to continue the series with the current art assets and just bump them up to an acceptable degree (of course as I havn't player KH2 I don't know on what note the ending of two left on, is there room to continue?). I also think Kingdom Hearts is a franchise that would fit the Wii and Nintendo very well, fitting the RPG vacuum and Disney and Nintendo just sounds right. |

Crystal Chronicles may or may not be a FF favorite. What is certain is that it didn't and won't move units. The Wii will need a real damn FF to do that. |

I can see your point Sony does have a wide variety of games (from Jak and Daxter to Gran Turismo) but in my mind Nintendo trys to be inclusive with all their games and doesnt just section off games ala Sony. But off course Kingdom Hearts and Sony has been a very good match so far, the sales figures reflect that. I still think Nintendo, Square and Disney sounds like a match made in heaven. |
