Blitz Games...
So, these guys are happily showing off that they are a revolution developer

ZOMG A REVO LOGO

I'm kidding

So, I began to wonder what this meant for Revolutionnites. I mean, they developed hot games like Chicken Run, Barbie Horse Adventure, Fairly Odd Parents, the sleeper hit Bratz Rock Angelz (well... IGN liked it better than games like 1080Avalanche), and more excitingly, Pac-Man World 3.

it looks like we'll be getting some sort of licensed game. Afterall, they have some projects in the works with these descriptors:

The latest of a hugely popular and successful platform adventure title. Due for release in 2006.

A platform title based on a leading kids cartoon charater. Due for release in 2006

A game of exploration based upon a leading girls toy brand. Due for release in 2006.

But this is where things start to get more interesting. The company itself is divided into three divisions: Family Games, Serious Games, and Mature Games.

Family Games seems fairly obvious. Serious Games describes itself as "Applying skills and technologies used in videogames to create more effective training applications."

I doubt anything for consoles will come out of them, but its not impossible to get some experience form them with cool things like an operation sim

THe most interesting part is form their mature line. They're working on Possession for the 360 and PS3. But they also have two other projects in development. And I don't think it has to do with a popular girls toy brand. I guess we'll find out if they have anything to do with Revolution.

So yeah... I guess I've said nothing.

Interesting that they're not a DS developer. Also interesting how Blitz games has done nothing good recently.

Blitz Games today announced that it has signed a deal with a major publisher to make a title for Nintendo's next generation console, codenamed Revolution. The developer, best known for projects including Glover for N64 and Pac-Man World 3 for GameCube, stated that further details about the game will be announced by the still-secret publisher "soon."

Andrew Oliver, co-founder and development director of Blitz Games, commented, "We're genuinely very excited to be working on the Revolution. Nintendo's innovation over the years has trail blazed new concepts and the new controller is no exception. It will give people new ways to play existing genres but moreover we hope it will spawn altogether new gaming experiences."
Philip Oliver, CEO Blitz Games, added, "This latest addition to our portfolio clearly signals that Blitz is one of the few major developers with the capability and technology to work on both next and current generation titles simultaneously. Our strategy of a fully featured, well structured tool chain and cross platform engine has really paid off and we are quickly able to incorporate these new platforms with relative ease making our development faster and more efficient."

Blitz Games employs more than 150 people and is currently underway with Possession, a third person title for Xbox 360 that enables players to control hundreds of bloodthirsty zombies in a free-roaming city. It is not yet known if the company's Revolution project is related or an entirely new affair.

IGN Revolution will keep you posted as news on the title breaks.

Hmm wonder what it'll be.

It sounds like whatever it is they're working on it will be released this fall across all platforms, current and next gen. My guess is that it will be published by THQ and is either a Bratz or Fairly Oddparents game. (first being more likely)

No idea who they are and don't care for them, but couldn't they at least use the current official logo? Goes to show you how much unprofessional they are.

Main article: List of Nintendo Revolution games

Many games featuring Nintendo's classic franchises, such as Mario (most likely the long awaited Mario 128), The Legend of Zelda, Metroid and Super Smash Brothers, have been announced. It has also been hinted that older games such as Kid Icarus will be on the Revolution as well, though as of most of the Revolution's details this has only been based on speculation. Nintendo has also announced that it is in the process of developing an entirely new and original franchise to be added into the Nintendo universe alongside the Revolution, in the same way as Pikmin alongside the GameCube, although all other details about this project are unknown at this time. It has been speculated that the new franchise might be more mature than most previous Nintendo games. Square Enix is working on a sequel Crystal Chronicles title, Ubisoft is releasing Splinter Cell 4 on all major consoles including Revolution, and has announced an exclusive FPS and another non-exclusive game. The exclusive title is being coined off as a Doom clone. Blitz has announced that Possession will come to all three next-gen consoles. Koei and Namco/Bandai (merging) have made announcements that they will make games for Revolution but not what games yet. Also, Camelot has announced that they are currently working on a Revolution RPG. This game could possibly be a sequel to Golden Sun: The Lost Age. Killer 7 producer Goichi Suda, aka Suda 51, has confirmed that Grasshopper Manufacture is planning to make a Revolution game. [26] According to Game Informer, Hideo Kojima is developing a Revolution game with the team from Kojima Productions that developed Metal Gear Acid. [27] A new video game company called NIBRIS is said to make an exclusive game called Raid over the River. It will be a futuristic overhead shooter. On December 8, 2005, Electronic Arts officially declared its support for the Revolution. On February 6, 2006, Activision's CEO said that it would have at least one game ready in the console's first four months. It is possible that this could be a launch game for Revolution. No details were given as to what the game would be, or whether it is an existing franchise or a new intellectual property.[28]

They say that Possession is comming to all three consoles.

Hasn't been confirmed by the developer though, if I remember correctly. Just speculated on.

Nice to see the REV support starting to pile up like it has lately.

off-topic: *sigh* ...that playstation3 font is so ugly and un-creative it kills me.

It seems lots of developers are jumping aboard. Has Nintendo really gotten them interested enough to draw some attention away from the competition?

Of course, it remains to be seen whether the developers who have announced projects will come through with anything solid.

You'd be the only one.

I'm not too fussed about this developer. They may have a trick or two up their sleeves but that's unlikely. I wouldn't even mind if the Barbie games came across truthfully. Obviously I wouldn't be buying them, but others would. They fit Nintendo's goal of demographic expansion. The more games, the better. Look at the Gamecube, it's trailing behind because there is nothing coming out for it month after month. If it had a little more support, even from not-so-hot developers it'd be shipping more units and wouldn't be relegated to a single shelf in game stores.
