You know... I'm not overly appalled. I never did follow DOA much but I wasn't really expecting something epic. Then again I thoroughly enjoyed Charlies Angels 2.

Yeah, uh, what the ****. From the trailer, it appears they didn't even attempt to follow the barely-existant DoA storyline from the games but rather a more cornier Charlie's Angles approach.

Only videogame-to-movie adaptation I'm slightly looking forward to right now is Silent Hill.

A serious DOA film could be great if it were done in CG. Because there is a story there, no matter how much Team Ninja tries to hide it with their lackluster cutscenes. Translating the DOA characters to real life, however, just doesn't work.

It looks like a terrible movie, but at the same time, I kinda want to go see that movie drunk or with some friends and just rip into it and enjoy the scenery

EDIT: hahahah, i just looked it up and the notorious Paul WS Anderson is producing...At least he's not directing, but his touch is all over this.

Exactly what I was thinking. It appears they've delivered something fairly true to the tone of the game series. It looks fun.

I'm sure it'll be rated PG-13, making the film mostly useless, but aside from oversized-ass lips on that one chick, I was not hurt by this trailer.

Not only is the trailer ridiculously stupid but the women don't seem to look right, at all. And when I say that, I mean they, mostly, don't match their counterparts. Ayane simply doesn't look very good and she was a bloody hot looker in the game (obviously, you can't get an exact duplicate but this person doesn't even look close, in any respect).
