Download GBFS from my GBA page and use the 'lsgbfs' program to display the names of the files in the GBFS file. You can also use the 'ungbfs' program to extract all files from a GBFS file. Hint: GBFS not GBSF; if the file "with music" isn't bigger than 300 KB then you probably named something wrong. Anyway:

Code

E:gbadevmine>lsgbfs gsmsongs.gbfs
597300 CatchMe.gsm
503283 Da Bomb.gsm
354783 RadicalFaith.gsm
141933 Shinin.gsm
710391 Zodinubis.gsm
205920 kilken.gsm

We know Lumines uses row-by-row falling. But does it have "keeping control of it for a while" in addition to the time it takes for a piece to fall through the last row? If you let a piece fall, especially on one of the faster levels, does it hesitate longer than one row time at the bottom before locking into place?

Yes and no. It mostly moves row by row, but you seem also to be able to rotate it during the very split second it's settling in (or breaking apart).

Just when you thought I'd go away...

Well, I finally got the music working today!!!! Turns out i wasn't adding the ".gsm" extension to the files when i was naming them. Now i feel incredibly stupid for not figuring that out earlier. Thanks everyone for helping me out.

I was wondering how Headspin was able to have more than 6 skins. Headspin made 11 or so skins, but the game crashes after all 11 skins have been played, while the original skins that came with the game will loop after the last one has been played. I was wondering how he did that, and why it crashes at the end.

If you have any questions regarding the PSP version of lumines, feel free to ask me. I can "borrow" my brother's PSP.(If you still have questions about block movement, i might be of help. Obviously i dont know anything about the game's code, but i could answer questions about the game rules.)

It has something to do with conflicts between RAM and ROM when there are more skins than will fit in RAM. Specifically, if you try more than about 7 skins on the multiboot (GBAMP) version, there are too many for RAM.

That said, the Luminesweeper program is now free software (called "open source" by some).

Thanks, that makes sense.
