Mario Is Missing (NES, SNES, PC)

I'm going to make this one short today, mostly because I just got home from my shift at work and also due in part that I'm not all too familiar with the source material. I have actually played quite a bit of Mario is Missing for the NES, and anyone who is familiar with the game would probably remember its epic opening sequence. The fine folk at Software Toolworks decided that for this version of the game, Bowser was going to be smaller than Mario and kidnap him when he wasn't looking. Bowser fights Mario tooth and nail, spitting fire at him, dropping down on him in clown airships, and even flinging axes at him, when all he really needed to do was shrink himself and sneak up behind him with a bag.

Luigi's forced to find Mario by looking for clues all around the world. That's right folks, this is genuine EDUtainment right here, something sorely lacking in the goomba-stomping, violence-riddled world of tomorrow. Luigi rides Yoshi up and down places like Africa and uh, New York, in search of his brother.

When Luigi finally encounters Bowser we're introduced with two forms. One is Bowser being really small and very red, and the other is Bowser being very small and very green. I'm surprised Luigi didn't accidentally trip over him while looking for the real Bowser, which can be found in the SNES version of this same game. We're going to ergo the photo here because frankly, we don't have one. Again, I'm tired. I'm not playing through this to get you a picture, sorry. Maybe next time.
